Video Design for Performance

High School Musical 2

Video- and animation design for the musical based on the American musical television film written by Peter Barsocchini
I created the visual content for 4 video projections filling 60 m2 of space. The video and animations were designed to create an atmosphere matching the story and the music. Set changes with open curtains were supported by precisely timed animations contributing to the transition from one scene to the next scene. The piece was the first musical to be rewarded with a Reumert award. The video and animations got a special mention.
Reumert Music Theater / Show Award 2010 “High School Musical II”, Fredericia Theater:

Production: Fredericia Teater Creative Producer & Scenographic Concept: Thomas Langkjær Set Design: Kristian Vang Rasmussen & Arthur Steijn Lighting Design: Frank Beck
I created the visual content for multiplet HD video projectors, using Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Cinema4D and Electric Image Animation System. The rendered animations were fed to a Hippotizer media server.
